Northpoint City Paint Party 2019
ArtBeatz hosted a Paint Party at Northpoint City on 16, 17, 23 and 24 March 2019 at the South Atrium. Thetheme was Safari and we saw designs from giraffes to tigers and lions! Families and friends worked together to paint creative interpretations of the theme and they were free to come up with their own ideas. It was inspiring to see everyone’s unique versions of these popular safari animals.
This is a great example of community placemaking where the paintings from residents in the community were then installed into the mall designs. Every 3-6 months these paintings change and more participants are able to get involved in the painting process!
Over the course of 4 Paint Party sessions, there were a total of 435 participants made up of friends, families and people from all walks of life! While this was a pre-registered event, we received overwhelming responses from the general public and the sessions were all fully packed!
When we asked some of the participant’s what they enjoyed most during the Paint Party, one person said, “It was their Daddy’s birthday, 17th of March, so it was the most memorable day of bonding for all of us to remember!” We look forward to continuing events like these!
